ABOUT OUR LOCATION IN CANADA

The owner selected Regina as the company’s base of operations because of its strategic location as the capital of Saskatchewan. Regina is also the province’s second-largest city, after Saskatoon.

Located in the heart of the Canadian Prairies, Saskatchewan contains more than 40 per cent of Canada’s cultivated farmland, including some of the most productive agricultural land in the world. With its extensive land base and collaborative approach to crop development and agricultural research, the province plays an increasingly important role in supplying food to a rapidly growing global population.

According to Statistics Canada, Saskatchewan recorded significant increases in crop production in 2020, including growth in lentil production of 25.9 per cent and flaxseed production of 23.6 per cent. Seeded acreage also increased for lentils, flaxseed, oats and canary seed.

These agricultural trends, together with Saskatchewan’s strong farming sector and productive land base, point to a promising future for Ingrace Canada Farms Ltd.’s investment in greenhouse agriculture.
